Monochrome Military History.
For the British, the Second World War took place in Black and White. It was a time of rationing, austerity and the black-out. My photography attempts to evoke those dark times.

Masters Of Air.
The Mighty Eighth
Sally B. is a magnificent tribute to the One and a Half Million Americans who came to Europe to fight in a War of Liberation. Sally B. is the flying memorial to the many Airmen who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

303 Squadron.
I Was Wrong About The Poles.
The RAF treated the Polish Airmen very badly, when they escaped from Nazi oppression and came here to continue their fight. Despite being prevented from joining the fray in the Battle of Britain, until Dowding was desperate for replacement Pilots ,the Poles were our most successful fighter Squadrons.

Combat Correspondent
We Brits are obsessed with the Second World War and look back with pride at our Golden Generation who fought a just War against an Evil Tyranny. I am fascinated by how we celebrate that time when our little Island was a last bastion of peace and liberty and stood for freedom. It was our finest hour and contrasts with the embittered and xenophobic country that we have become.
